Though we are aware that greenhouse gasses are a major contributor to global warming, but give little thought to check the irresponsible burning of fuels and wasteful consumption of energy which is increasing the levels of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. To mitigate these greenhouse gas emissions The European Commission, has set forth the environmental liability in its energy policy to limit the rise in global temperature to 2 degree centigrade to pre-industrial levels, by increasing fuel efficiency, reducing energy use and switching over to cleaner energy sources. At the core of the proposal is to initially develop newer technologies including ones on renewable energy and also the use of carbon sinks, carbon credits and suitable taxation rather than adopting more radical measures like population control, planetary engineering, carbon capturing and solar shading to lessen demand on land and energy resources.

In this uphill task we all can contribute in small measures by following some SIMPLE ACTIONS in our daily lives.

DRIVE LESS DRIVE SMART :- Every time you do not drive, besides saving money you also reduce air pollution and contribute towards better health. When you do drive, make sure your car runs efficiently to get maximum mileage out of gas. Avail public transport for longer trips and car pool for shorter ones.
USE LESS HEAT AND AIR CONDITIONING:- Keep temperatures moderate at all times by adjusting thermostat just 2 degrees lower in winter and higher in summer. Turn down heat while away during day or when sleeping at night. Use energy saving devises in appliances to turn off at preset levels.
REDUCE, REUSE, RECYCLE:- Take care to reduce waste as much as possible by choosing reusable products rather than disposables. Develop habit of recycling paper, plastic, glass or metal, as much carbon dioxide will be produced to manufacture new material again.
SWITCH OFF WHEN NOT IN USE:- Much electricity can be saved by turning off lights, fans and appliances when not in use rather than keeping it on idle mode whole day long. Water an essential natural resource could also be conserved by closing tap when not in use.
CHANGE YOUR LIGHT BULBS:- Replace incandescent bulbs with CFL or LEDs as they are more energy efficient and less expensive to use besides also convenient and safer to use.
INDULGE IN ENERGY EFFICIENT PRODUCTS:- While buying appliances and gadgets one must consider its energy efficiency and not be tempted by its looks. It must conform to standard energy consumption norms.
PLANT TREES:- Plant as many trees as you can, as they form an integral part of nature, absorbing harmful carbon dioxide and producing oxygen essential for life.
GO VEGETARIAN:- Eating more grains, fruits and vegetables and lessor of meat, eggs and dairy products will encourage us to grow more plants, which in turn will help in controlling greenhouse gasses in the atmosphere. Besides a vegetarian diet is more appropriate to our digestive system.
PAY BILLS ONLINE:- Nowadays paying bills online can help us to eliminate much paper stationery besides saving time, money and administrative costs and thus assist in reducing global warming by helping to prevent deforestation.
ENCOURAGE OTHERS TO CONSERVE:- Share information on energy conservation measures with neighbors and friends that are good for the environment, which reduces our dependence on fossil fuels that create greenhouse gasses and contribute to global warming.

the global warming is getting higher and our duty is to make maximum use of energy, thus i got a great way to use battery to max level and get highest efficiency.............
